Dr. Quigleys primary research interests relate to clinical gastroenterology and, specifically, to common functional and motility disorders, such as GERD, gastroparesis, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. In translational research, his focus has been on the gut microbiome and its relevance to both gut inflammation and function and non-alcoholic steato-hepatitis. Dr. Quigley has over 30 years experience in clinical and translational research and has been responsible for the design and execution of investigator-initiated studies of various interventions, as well as studies of disease mechanisms. He has mentored medical students, residents, fellows, scientists and junior faculty, including MSc, MD and PhD candidates.
