Lisa Tussing-Humphreys, PhD, MS, RD

Dr. Tussing-Humphreys is a nutrition scientist and licensed registered dietitian. She studied clinical dietetics at SUNY College at Buffalo, Nutritional Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She applies epidemiological, clinical, social, behavioral, and molecular tools and assessments to understand complex diet/disease relationships. Through her research, she has made significant contributions to the understanding of systemic iron metabolism in the context of severe obesity.
