Dr. Dewey is a Distinguished Professor Emerita in the Department of Nutrition, University of California, Davis. She served as Chair of the Birth to 24 Months Subcommittee of the 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. Her research focuses on maternal and child nutrition in the U.S. and globally. Professional service includes: Food and Nutrition Board; Board of Directors, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition; President, Society for International Nutrition Research; and President, International Society for Research on Human Milk and Lactation. Awards include: Kellogg Prize for International Nutrition; Macy-Gyrgy Award (ISRHML); E.V. McCollum International Lectureship; and Fellow, American Society for Nutrition.
